Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda to Receive National Eminence Award on Dec. 25, 2012



Central Chinmaya Mission Trust is pleased to announce that PujyaGuruji Swami Tejomayananda will be conferred Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati National Eminence Award (NEA) for Spiritual Leadership by the South Indian Education Society (SIES) on December 25, 2012 at Shanmukhananda Hall in Mumbai. The award ceremony will be telecast live on Sankara TV from 6.00 P.M. onward on 25th December, 2012. We will inform you if it is telecast live on any other TV Channels.


Pujya Guruji was unanimously selected by the NEA Committee, of which the Chief Patron and Patron are His Holiness Jagadguru Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal and His Holiness Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal, respectively. In his congratulatory notification letter to Pujya Guruji, SIES President V. Shankar wrote (excerpts below),

"As the Head of Chinmaya Mission worldwide, you have steadfastly pursued Swami Chinmayananda's grand spiritual and organizational vision. Swami Chinmayananda was far ahead of his time. You have fully justified the confidence that the Master had in you. The Chinmaya International Residential School in Coimbatore, the Chinmaya Centre of World Understanding in New Delhi, the Chinmaya International Foundation in Kochi, the Chinmaya Heritage Centre in Chennai, Chinmaya Vibhooti in Pune are testimonies to your devotion and dedication. Your jnana yajnas have inspired countless listeners to realize and understand the purpose of life, and brought transformation in them. Your gentle, affable nature and accessibility to all remind us of Swami Chinmayananda. Indeed, Chinmaya Mission has spread its activities far and wide under yourleadership to benefit mankind"

This year's other three NEA recipients are Amitabh Bachchan for community leadership, Dr. Sam Pitroda for achievement in science and technology, and Sushma Swaraj for public leadership. The NEA has been previously conferred on 48 distinguished Indians, including Former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Two Programmes - one for Adults..one for Children..




           


 BALVIHAR CAMP ...


under the able guidance of the Acharya Swami Sivayogananda, a one day ' Balvihar Camp ' was organized by the Devi group and Chyks..on December 30, 2012 at Chinmaya Mission premises at Madurai. 114 students from the different Balvihar classes attended and enjoyed the session and all the various group activities

Br. Sampoorna Chaithanjya, fChinmaya Mission,  Kodaikkanal inaugurated the camp.  under the theme " Be[e] Active..Be[e] Bright " various sessions - Thiruvasagam recitation, Divine & Medicinal signification of the leaves, cleanliness were explained....  Quotes of Gurudev were explained to reach the heart of the students.Participation certificates, tea/snacks and lunch were provided to all the children


It was a charming of glorious day before the curtains comes down for the year 2012 !  The chorus singing of Gurudev's Aarthy vibrated the entire hall.

Chinmaya Vanaprastha Camp for Two days...



















Chinmaya Vanaprastha Sansthan, Madurai, a wing of Chinmaya Mission, organised a two days non-residential camp on December 1 and 2, 2012, under the title'Graceful Living' at Chinmaya Meenakshi Dhyana Mandapam, Madurai.  Brhmi. Sruthi Chaithanyaji, Acharaya, Chinmaya Mission, Pondicherry was the facilitator of the camp and make the camp more vibrant !  Yuvaveers Srirekha, Jeyaguru and Naren assisted her, to conduct the camp.

This successful two days  camp was full of activities, fun & joy .All the 64 participants were made to U TURN to their memorable younger days..All the members appreciated Br. Sruthi Chaithanya, the way she handled the sessions and the activities designed for their participation. Simple exercises based on yogic technique was handled by Sri Gopalsamy for the participants ..Snacks / tea and launch were provided to the participants, in these two days.

In the Valedictory function, Mr. Vijaya Kumar, Senior Manager, Central Bank of India, Madurai, appreciated the efforts of Chinmaya Mission all the activities for all the age groups, like Gita Chanting Competition and expressed his happiness for the association.
