Janmastami was celebrated for 2 days (16.8.14 & 17.8.14) in a grand manner at Chinmaya Mission, Madurai.
On the first day more than 80 Balvihar students from various Balvihar groups, performed cultural programme on Krishna Leela, Kalinga Nartana, Narakasura vada,, Rukmini kalyana, etc., More than 200 parents and devotees, enjoyed the children's activities. Gifts and dinner were provided to the children, their parents and all the visitors.
The next day,on Janmastami Day, in the presence of Brni. Gomathi, portions of Bhagavad Gita was chanted, which was followed by Puja for Sri Krishna, Bhajans, Aarathi and distribution of Prasad. Chinmaya Mission members, Chyks, and Devi group members in large numbers, attended the function.
