Chinmaya Seva Trust, Madurai, has organized a function at Setupathi Higher Secondary School, , on May 30, 2015 (Saturday) to celebrate the Centenary Celebrations of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. As the last leg of the programmes in Madurai, Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini visited the school. On this occasion ‘Free Uniforms’ to 150 Children, of that school were distributed. The students thanked Swamiji and Chinmaya Mission, Madurai, for this gesture
Shri Thilagar, Genl. Secy. welcomed, the gathering. Acharya Sw. Sivayogananda briefed the details of Gurudev and the significance of his Centenary Celebrations to the audience. Shri. S. Parthasarathy,, Secry of the School , lauded the relationship between the School and the Mission. Sw. Kamalathmanantha, Chief of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai was the Chief Guest.
While delivering the benediction address, Sw. Kamalathmanada, outlined the greatness of Gurudev and the good work carried out by the Mission Center, in Madurai He expressed his happiness and blessed the students.
Smt.and Shri Venkatraman, whose family sponsored the uniforms, were also present. The public and the students witnessed the Sandesh Vahini and the Yagnatorium that stationed in the School campus..The meeting concluded with the 'Bharatha Natiya programme' by “Madurai Nattiya Kalalaya students”..
