Sri Krishna Jeyanthi Celebrations....

Janmastami was celebrated for 2 days (16.8.14 & 17.8.14) in a grand manner at Chinmaya Mission, Madurai. 

On the first day more than 80 Balvihar students from various Balvihar groups, performed cultural programme on Krishna Leela,  Kalinga Nartana, Narakasura vada,, Rukmini kalyana, etc., More than 200 parents and devotees, enjoyed the children's activities. Gifts and dinner were provided to the children, their parents and all the visitors.

The next day,on Janmastami Day, in the presence of Brni. Gomathi, portions of Bhagavad Gita was chanted, which was followed by Puja for Sri Krishna, Bhajans, Aarathi and distribution of Prasad. Chinmaya Mission members, Chyks, and Devi group members in large numbers, attended the function.

One more ..One Day Youth Camp by CHYKS, Madurai...

One day youth camp Inner Quest-2 was conducted on Sunday, 10th August,2014. The camp was organized for those colleges which enrolled  after the last date of the earlier camp for IQ-1 . IQ-2 was organised by Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai., under the guidance of Brni. Gomathi.

30 students from various colleges participated in this camp. The sessions Goal Setting, Find your passion and TI2TI were taken by Mr.Nagalingam,Head coach,Nikhil Foundations, Brni.Gomathi and Smt Aarathy, MBA., respectively.On the final session students played treasure hunt.

Camp kit,lunch and refreshment were provided for the participants. Chinmaya Udghosh magazine, presented to the campers.. The  feedback from the participants was good and 12 of them expressed their willingness to join the CHYK Group...

One Day Youth Camp by CHYKS, Madurai​...

Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Madurai, organised a '​One Day ​youth Camp' titled 'Inner Quest" {Ladder of Success} for the college students, on July 20, 2014 [Sunday] at Chinmaya Mission premises at Madurai. 140 students of both men and women from 10 colleges, in and around Madurai, participated in the camp. 

The students were divided in to two batches and the topics of 'Self Motivation', 'Emotional Quotient', 'Intelligence Management', and 'Career Readiness' were handled by Sw. Sivayogananda, Dr. S.Girija, Prof. Raja Govindasamy and Smt. Chitra Ganapathy, respectively.  TI2TI session was handled by Brni. Gomathi. The members of CHYKS group planned the camp meticulously and make the event a successful one.  Camp kit, snacks,Tea and lunch was provided to the participants.

One more such 'Youth Camp' has also been planned to organise on August 10, 2014, for those students / Colleges, who expressed their willingness to join the Camp, after the entry date. 

The feed back of the campers was also encouraging and more than 40 students expressed their willingness to join 'Chinmaya Yuva Kendra' as members... 

Sewa by Chinmaya Sewa Trust, Madurai..

Chinmaya Sewa Trust, Madurai, distributed free Uniforms to 150 economically weaker section students of Setupathi High School, Madurai.. Only in this School the great National Poet Bharathi, worked 

as a Tamil Teacher for some time.

Mr. Parathasarathy, Secy. of the School welcomed the gathering..While thanking the Chinmaya Mission for the gesture, requested to extend this assistance to the students of Madura College Hr. Secy. School which is also under the same management.  Sri M.S. Meenakshisundram, president of Madurai center presided over the function. Acharya Swami Sivayogananda delivered a lecture on 'values'  to the assembled students ..The Headmaster of the school delivered vote of thanks..The Secretaries M/s Gopalsamy, Thilagar and EC members M/s Srinivan.N., Krishnamoorthy,, Venkatraman, also participated and distributed the dresses to the students. The function ends with National Anthem..

Poojya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji's Birthday celebrations at Madurai..

On the eve of Guruji  Pujya Sri Swami Tejomayanandaji' birthday, Chinmaya Mission, Madurai, organised various activities at the Mission premises and also at the outskirts of Madurai.

Vanaprastha Meeting for elders on June 30, , Janana Yagana  under the topic '" Bhakthan, Bhakthi and Bhagavan " for 5 days from 30th June to 4th July and also Morning classes on 'Avadhootha Gita' for 4 days...

The Vanaprastha Meeting was held at Chinmaya Mission Premises and other activities were organised at Karpaga Vinayagar Matric. Hr. School, K.Pudur., Campus .All the activities were conducted by Acharya Br. Amaresh Chaithanya, Chinmaya Mission, Chennai. The participants enjoyed all the events with bakthi and devotion..
